  The Pantone Formula Guide is a must for all printers, prepress people and designers who work with pure Pantone colors, which are also called "spot colors" or "Solid Colors".
  In this Pantone fan, individual colors find information for the printer about how the specific Pantone color should be mixed based on the various Pantone base colors.
  
  The Pantone Formula Guide is also available as a set of books with Pantone Chips, which are small stickers that you typically use to put on your test print, so that you always have a physically measurable reference throughout the printing process.

  For many years there has been a complaint from customers to Pantone that it can be difficult to reproduce a Pantone color 100% correctly on an ordinary 4-colour offset printing press.
  That is why Pantone has now chosen to change their uncoated guides to be produced so that they simulate a "Worst Case Scenario" offset printing press.
